SM City Dasmarinas Wedding Exhibit - Reminiscing Wedding in the Sky

Last Saturday, May 28,2011. Carlo and I went to Dasmarinas to see the wedding exhibit sponsored by SM Dasmarinas City. I'm excited to see the exhibitors as we will be launching the second version of wedding in the sky portal. I want them to be part of our 2nd generation web marketing.

We went there after office hours and as I glance the setup, I cant help but to remember the time when we launched the wedding in the sky portal. I was with Andrew Pacumio (owner of towns delight the caterer), Ritchie Reyes (admin of SM) and Lanier Mercado (the actress and now a congress woman), It was the same month but that was 5 years ago. Truly something worth looking back.

One of their main activity is the fashion show. Theree are a lot of coutures doing the exhibitions. The young generations are now coming in. Before it was only Maestro Nueno, Sarah de Sagun and Michael Angelo. Now, I can see a lot of young entrepreneurs. Among them are Dore, Coral Couture, Mikee de Leon, Lorren.

I took some pictures and can't help but notice one thing, most of the models don't want to smile. Well in my days during producing evens like this, I always see a lot of smiling faces. And of course, with the help of Maestro Nueno, I am seeing a lot of them. Beautiful ones. I guess maybe that's one of their theme concept. but the ambiance is superb. The way it was presented is above average. Very sleek.

Then I noticed another thing. There are a lot of caterers and fashion designers who participated but located outside the province of Cavite. That part I was little bit bothered. Why? I know for a fact that there are so many wedding suppliers here in Cavite. Are they not aware that SM City is doing such event? Are they not ready for the big market just like themes and motifs is doing? Or they do not understand how powerful a wedding event can make their company be advertised. When I was in themes and motifs, I tell you, almost all suppliers are willing to pay as big as 200k just to be in the prime-spot ads. I know because even I made an exhibit there. And I was happy with the result.

And now that i am coming back again in the wedding related industry, I cant help my self to get excited because we will be again setting the website to cater wedding suppliers once again. And this time, it will be the direction where we want 5 years ago. To be an Internet Media Advertising outlet for Wedding Suppliers in the province of Cavite.
