The Basilica Minore de San Sebastián

The Basilica Minore de San Sebastián, or San Sebastian Recoletos Church, is the only all-steel church in Asia. Some rumors say that Gustav Eiffel who was the genius who created the Eiffel Tower is behind the construction of San Sebastian Recoletos Church.

The old wooden church of San Sebastian was said to be burned during the 1600’s and replaced in the 1800’s by the present structure. San Sebastián Church was a declared National Historical Landmark by President Ferdinand Marcos through Presidential Decree No. 260 in 1973.
